Job Summary:We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to ensure compliance with HSE standards and promote a culture of safety within the workplace. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in risk management, operational safety, and regulatory compliance, particularly in the Oil & Gas industry.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement documentation, operational checks, and reports to ensure compliance with OHSAS ISO standards.
- Monitor and manage HSE processes, incorporating corrective and preventive measures to mitigate risks.
- Conduct pre-operational risk assessments and design risk mitigation strategies for work in live plant environments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with DOSH authorities to facilitate compliance and collaboration.
- Provide expertise in managing safety within explosion and flammable-prone environments.
- Maintain records of safety performance and ensure minimal accident reporting with corrective actions in place.
Qualifications: - Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction site safety, particularly in Oil & Gas projects.
- HSE certified by DOSH.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and resolve safety concerns effectively.
- Excellent communication and persuasive skills to engage teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with strong report-writing capabilities.
- Experience in OHSAS and EMS implementations is an added advantage.
